The Thought of Liability Covers
When my wife got a new business a few days ago, she was happy in the face. The business she got was a plush brand new Honda CRV model. As per request, the client would like her car to be covered as soon as the delivery is done. The decision of her client to insure her new car at once wows my wife as she badly needs to develop her premium production as a part-time agency knowing this is the end of the month.
However, the thought of liability cover comes across my mind just before my wife selects car insurance with competitive rates. Within seconds, I remind my wife to reconfirm liability cover for the client. As told by wife lately, some of her customers are reluctant to have such a cover attached to their car insurance. Instead, they ask for a rebate as long as the liability cover is detached.
Well, this is not an easy job to ‘educate’ the customers who are not willing to pay some extra money for liability covers. As you may be aware, some liability covers are even included in the basic cover of car insurance, at least to cover the passengers against bodily injury and/or someone’s property damage due to risks covered. In addition, some companies offer motor vehicle liability at competitive rates.
The importance of motor vehicle liability is now indispensible, and it goes with all risks or comprehensive motor vehicle insurance cover. The agents out there should be more concerned in socializing the mindset of the ‘not-yet-minded’ people as they have to know that motor vehicle insurance cover is not only about car body repairing, but also about being responsible to other people’s life, property, and risks.
